Ball season is in full swing

The baseball and softball seasons are starting to heat up and is firing on all cylinders.

St. Patricks Day behind us means that we are midway through March and most softball teams are now going up against the bulk of their district schedule.

The Abbeville Lady Wildcats played against Centerville last night, and tonight they host Notre Dame and turn around to travel to Kaplan on Thursday.

The Delcambre Lady Panthers are hosting Jeanerette tonight and then host Opelousas Catholic on Thursday night. The Lady Panthers will also take part in the Catholic High of New Iberia Tournament this weekend.

The Erath Lady Bobcats are hosting Kaplan tonight then travel to Baldwin to take on West St. Mary on Thursday, then turn right back around and travel to Sulphur to take part in the Sulphur Tournament.

The Gueydan Honey Bears are playing three games in four nights.

They squared off against Lake Arthur last night, they will take on Highland Baptist tonight, and travel to VC on Thursday night. The Honey Bears will also take part in the Bell City Tournament this weekend.

The Kaplan Lady Pirates are squaring off against Erath tonight and then host Abbeville on Thursday. Then they will travel to New Iberia to take part in CHNI Tournament.

The North Vermilion Lady Patriots are on the road all week long.

The travel to Baldwin to take on West St. Mary tonight, and then to Crowley to take on Notre Dame.

The Vermilion Catholic Lady Eagles have the good fortune of being at home all week long.

They will host Central Cathollic tonight, and then host Gueydan on Thursday.

This week marks the last week before the baseball teams in the parish will get their district schedules underway.

This week also marks one of the last weeks of the baseball tournament season.

Delcambre plays host to Hanson tonight and St. Martinville on Thursday. Then they turn around and play in the New Iberia Tournament this weekend.

The Erath Bobcats’ only games this week are in the Lutcher Tournament starting on Thursday.

Gueydan is also only in tournament action this week by taking part in the Bell City Tournament.

Kaplan travels to Carencro tonight and then takes part in the North vermilion Tournament starting on Friday.

North Vermilion will travel to Comeuax before hosting their own tournament on Thursday.

VC will also be taking part in the North Vermilion Tournament.
