Patriots finish season with a victory

The North Vermilion Patriots ended their regular season schedule with a win over district rival Erath.

The Patriots were able to defeat the Bobcats by the final score of 51-34.

“Hats off to Erath,” Patriots Head Coach Jack LeBlanc said. “They came out and played hard and gave us a run for it.”

The game was a little closer than the score would indicate.

The Patriots were only leading at halftime by the score of 19-14.

However, the Patriots did what they do best, that’s come out in the second half and step their game up.

The Patriots offense took over in the second half, and mainly in the third quarter.

The Patriots scored as many points in the third quarter, 19, as they did in the entire first half.

Jordan Windmon was mostly the reason the Patriots offense came alive in the third quarter.

Windmon squared a team and game high 17 points, with 11 coming in the third quarter for the Patriots.

By the time the fourth quarter the Bobcats were in a hole they just couldn’t claw their way out of.

Leading the way for the Patriots is scoring was Jordan Windmon with 17 points.

Behind him was forward Donald Comeaux who was able to net 13 points of his own.

Nick Cooper also played a good game, and had nine points to show for it.

Tre Levy was able to add six points to the Patriots final tally.

Dade Dieterich and Blake Turner each added two points.

While, Jawuan Windmon and Terrance Lollis added a free throw apiece.

Aaron Greene led the charge for the Bobcats with 13 points.

Elijah Mitchell and Alec Toups were both next in line as they added eight points apiece.

Jeremiah Mitchell was able to rack up four point on the night.

Jaylen Senegal rounded out the scoring for the Bobcats with a free throw in the third quarter.

With this win by the Patriots and a win by they Kaplan Pirates, they are crowned as Co-Champions of 6-3A.

They played the game to decide who gets the point for power ranking purposes on Saturday.
