Lady Panthers get seventh district win

The Delcambre Lady Panthers were able to win their second straight game with a 48-39 victory over the Opelousas Catholic Lady Vikings.

The Lady Panthers with this victory have also won four of their last six games, all district games.

Delcamabre started the game in a bit of a hole.

Opelousas Catholic was able to jump out to a quick lead by scoring 12 points in the first quarter and only allowing the Lady Panthers to score five points.

The second quarter is where the Lady Panthers would turn the game around, by scoring 14 points in the second quarter.

The defense also stepped up and only allowed the Lady Vikings to score four points in the second quarter.

Once the Lady Panthers got the lead back, they never gave it up.

Nicole Bouillion led the way in scoring for the Lady Panthers.

Bouillion scored a team and game high 18 points. She scored nine of 18 points in the third quarter for the Lady Panthers.

Emily Romero was next in line as she was able to score eight points on the night.

Tori Verret and Taylor Bourque were able to score seven and six points respectively.

Kessler Dooley, Mai Pope and Saige LeBlance were able to get in on the scoring action for the LAdy Panthers by added four, three and two points respectively.

The Lady Panthers finish their regular season this Friday night at Sacred Heart.
