Shooting in Abbeville

One person is in an Abbeville hospital following a shooting in broad daylight.

The incident took place Tuesday around 1 p.m. at the corner of Oak and Hayes Streets.

Police say the gunman fired several shots into a vehicle, hitting the victim once in the leg. Police say the wound is non-life-threatening.
