Wine and Cheese kicks off Mardi Gras season in Gueydan

GUEYDAN - The Krewe de la Chambre Royale recently held it’s annual Wine and Cheese Social on Saturday, January 4, at the Gueydan Civic Center.
Past Kings and Queens of the Mardi Gras Balls were presented to the audience as well as presenting the offical Krewe de la Chambre Royale’s Mardi Gras flag to last year’s King ‘Skip’ Gardiner and Queen Brenda Gardiner.
Member Nadine LePretre was on hand to give a brief presentation about this year’s Mardi Gras Ball. She reminded folks that tickets are now on sale to members of the Gueydan Chamber.
LePretre later commented, for folks to follow along with this year’s theme, ‘Mardi Gras Masquerade’ and wear a mask to the ball. She also says there will be a few added attraction this year to entertain the party goers.
