Maurice – Funeral services will be conducted for Mark Robert DesOrmeaux, 51, on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11:30 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Joseph Breaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

Visitation will began Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:00 PM .

A native of Erath and a resident of Maurice, Mr. DesOrmeaux died on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 6:35 PM in a Lafayette hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Adonna Broussard DesOrmeaux of Maurice; his parents, Farrell and Ellen Babineaux DesOrmeaux of Abbeville; his son, Ross Menard of Maurice; his daughters, Alaina D. Bergeron and her husband Jarrod of Abbeville and Adrea B. Menard and her fiance’ Richard Upton of Maurice; his brothers, Tommy DesOrmeaux and his wife Kendra of Baton Rouge and Kenny DesOrmeaux and his wife Jamie of Abbeville; his sisters, Janice D. Stakes and her husband Larry, Karen D. Ayo and her husband Ted, Anne D. Domingue and her husband Ray, Jr., Jeannine D. Kelly and Mary D. Breaux and her husband Mike all of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Aly Zumbek, Drake Upton both of Maurice, Ayla Bergeron and Andon Bergeron both of Abbeville.

Pallbearers will be Ross Menard, Shea Stakes, Larry Stakes, Tommy DesOrmeaux, Alan Stakes and Kenny DesOrmeaux.
