Dugas and Benefiel unite in Holy Matrimony
On the evening of Saturday, October 19, 2013, Nicole Yvette Dugas and Kyle Nathan Benefiel were united in Holy Matrimony. The couple exchanged vows during a 7 p.m. ceremony at St. John Catholic Church in Henry, Louisiana. Father Cedric Sonnier officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Bernardine Dugas of Henry. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Barras and the late Donald Barras of Delcambre, Louisiana, Mrs. Nelies Dugas and the late Donald Dugas of Henry.
The groom is the son of Charles “Chuck” and Cynthia Benefiel of Mandeville, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Nelson and Carol Benefiel of Metairie, Louisiana, and Stan and Kathy Elberg of Fairhope, Alabama.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a beautiful Oleg Cassini gown in ivory. It featured an elegant A-line silhouette and draped straps. Throughout the gown were beaded lace detail which transitioned into a sweep train.
For her veil, she chose one elbow-length made of lace and featuring pearl embellishments. She carried a bouquet of white and soft pink roses.
Megan Toups, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Taylor Benefiel, cousin of the groom, Lindsey Long, friend of the bride, Karen James, friend of the bride, Shelli White, friend of the bride, and Jessica Day, friend of the bride.
Attendants wore full-length dresses in rosewood. They featured one shoulder and fell to an A-line. Each carried a bouquet of pink calla lilies.
Corey Benefiel, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Justin Barrosse, friend of the groom, Beau Dugas, brother of the bride, Scott Kohls, friend of the groom, Josh Colvin, friend of the groom, and Daniel Pitfield, friend of the groom.
Acting as flower girl was Ainsley Kohls, friend of the bride and groom.
Colt Toups, godchild of the bride, acted as ring bearer.
Readings were given by Jim Barras, godfather of the bride, and Jeffery Benefiel, godfather of the groom.
Acting as ushers were Justin Toups, brother-in-law of the bride, Brian McGarry, friend of the groom, Cody Dugas, cousin of the bride, and Eric Bertucci, friend of the groom.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Bridget Touchet.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Erath Community Center.
The couple will honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nevada. When they return, they will reside in Mandeville, Louisiana.
