CROWLEY -- Funeral Services were held Friday Sept. 4, 2009 at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, for Eddie Simon Jr., 82 who died Tuesday Sept. 1, 2009 at his residence in Crowley.

Survivors include three daughters Betty Murphy, Sally Simon, and Debra Simon, all of Crowley; two brothers Paul Simon of Crowley, and Huey Simon of Houma; four sisters Lou Carlton of Lafayette, Rose Simon of Texas, Martha Hood Westlake, and Ida Simon of Crowley; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and six great, great, grandchildren.

Mr. Simon was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Wila Mae Simon; his parents, Eddie and Amelia Toups Simon Sr., and a grandchild, Tammy Woodbeck; one daughter, Mary Bennett; two brothers J.C. and Mannie Simon; one sister, Barbara Hoffpauir, and a nephew, John Charles Simon.

Mr. Simon was a Veteran of WWII serving as a sharpshooter.

Visitation was Thursday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until services.
