Vermilion Parish's Puyau elected to Superintendent’s Association post

Jerome Puyau, Superintendent of Vermilion Parish Schools, has been elected the President of the Southwest Louisiana (SWLA) Superintendent's Association.
There are 12 parishes in this association: Acadia, Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline, Iberia, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin and Vermilion.
The Superintendent's Association of SWLA is committed to building and maintaining a strong support system for the superintendent's in this region and creating a unified partnership with the area universities.
"I am honored to be elected by my peers to serve as president of our association this school year" said Puyau. He further stated "Districts in our association have created a network of support where we collaborate and share best practices to ensure all students in our area have the resources and opportunities to succeed." He will serve as president for the 2014-2015 school year.
