Vermilion Parish job fair this Wednesday

Those on the job hunt will have a perfect opportunity to meet with more than 40 employers this Wednesday in Vermilion Parish.
The Vermilion Job Fair is set for this Wednesday, March 30. The event will be held at Abbeville High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with local employers and learn about opportunities in Vermilion Parish and the surrounding area,” Vermilion Chamber of Commerce Director Lynn Guillory said.
Anne Falgout, the executive director of the Vermilion Economic Development Alliance, said recently that the timing of the job fair is important.
“This is a big job fair,” Falgout said. “I think this is the first one in around 10 years that has been community-wide. We have companies that are hiring and we want to try to get people back to work as quickly as possible,” Falgout said.
