Pro-life group honors Sen. Perry

District 26 State Senator Jonathan “JP” Perry garnered a Distinguished Legislator award from the Louisiana Right to Life Federation.
The award honors his 100 percent pro-life voting record at the 2014 Regular Session. Pro-life supporters consider the 2014 session a historical session for the pro-life movement with the passage of the Unsafe Abortion Protection Act as well as bills dealing with informed consent and the protection of a viable fetus.
“This is an issue I cannot waiver on,” Sen. Perry said. “Protecting those who cannot protect themselves is a moral obligation. I am proud to be recognized for voting 100% pro-life.”
Perry, along with other state lawmakers who supported pro-life issues, was honored recently at a special luncheon in Lafayette.
