Parent allegedly attacks female bus driver at Vermilion Parish school

A Vermilion Parish school bus driver was allegedly attacked by a parent after the parent dropped off her child at Seventh Ward Elementary Tuesday morning.
Aaron Sue Domingue was arrested by the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Tuesday morning after allegedly assaulting a female bus driver.
She was charged with battery of a school teacher and her bail was set at $2,500. On Wednesday she was not in the parish jail.
Domingue, who lives in Big Woods at the street address of 12824 Wildwood Way, was in the car with Joshua Connor, who lives at the same address, dropping off a child at Seventh Ward Elementary.
They arrived too early to drop off a child and parked. Witnesses say their vehicle was parked where buses go to drop off children.
When the bus, driven by a female driver, arrived to drop off children at Seventh Ward Elementary, the bus driver had to go around the car Domingue and Connor were sitting in, allegedly upsetting both of them.
The teacher on duty asked them to move their vehicle because it was parked in the wrong place.
Domingue and Connor drove to the front of the school to drop off the child, again, not going to the correct place.
Connor, allegedly, went to park his vehicle were the buses leave the school, blocking the school bus that passed near their vehicle.
The female bus driver got out of her bus to talk to Connor about moving his vehicle. At the same time, Domingue allegedly escorted her child to the front of the school and then went to meet Connor and the bus driver.
When Domingue arrived, she allegedly started hitting the female bus driver.
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office had to be called to stop the alleged attack.
The female bus driver drove herself to Abbeville General, where she was treated and released.
When the Sheriff’s deputies arrived, Domingue was escorted into the school. At the same time, Connor allegedly went into the school despite being told by the Sheriff’s deputies not to. He was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.
It was not known if the female bus driver was back at work on Wednesday morning.
