McDonald's employee struck by car on the Abbeville bypass

A female employee from McDonald's was trying to cross the bypass in Abbeville when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle Thursday at around 7 a.m.
Police received the call around 7 a.m. in the 300 block of Veterans Memorial Drive. Traffic was detoured away from the accident as emergency personnel were at the scene.
The female was transported to Abbeville General Hospital with serious injuries.
No names were released as of Thursday morning of who were involved in the accident.
