Gun fire leads to Abbeville police finding stolen weapons at home

Early Saturday morning, officers of the Abbeville Police Department responded to a call in reference to shots fired near the intersection of Oak Street and Hayes Street.
As officers approached the scene, they heard gun fire. Officers located a victim who suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds, who is still at a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Officers conducted a search warrant at a residence near the intersection, locating numerous spent casings, six firearms, and marijuana. Four out of the six firearms were reported stolen.
The case is still under investigation. Arrest are expected to be made in the near future.
