Get your face on local rock band Wanderer’s Drift’s new album cover
Abbeville’s own The Wanderer’s Drift, a blues-rock band, is holding a shoot for the cover art for their new album “Rowdy” at The Mancave in Abbeville on Saturday, February 8th.
The duo, which consists of Church Rowe and Mego René, encourages anyone over 21 years old to attend. They have even offered to buy a drink for the first 50 in attendance. The event will begin at 7 p.m., and will immediately be followed by a live performance by them at 8 p.m.
The Mancave, formerly known as Chin’s Corner Inn, is a staple of the Abbeville nightlife. It is located at 817 South Saint Charles Street in Abbeville.
The Wanderer’s Drift is a two-piece rock band from Abbeville. Longtime friends Rowe and René began playing music together in 2011 after they realized how well their styles meshed together. They set out writing songs and playing local gigs around Abbeville and Lafayette. Their first EP, “Keepers,” is currently available on iTunes and Spotify. Recently, they teamed up with Full Moon Management and are currently in the finishing stages of their first full-length album, “Rowdy.” Their website, www.wanderersdrift.com, has more information on the band and links to their music.
