Francis Touchet
Former Erath High principal applies for Lafayette Parish Superintendent position
Francis Touchet, Jr., former principal of Erath High School, which was the number one public high school in the state of Louisiana, has applied for the position of Lafayette Parish Superintendent.
For the last three years, Touchet has been working as a educational leader with several district superintendents throughout the state to improve school and district performance.
"I'm extremely excited about this opportunity to bring my experiences as a teacher, as a coach, as an assistant principal, as a principal, and as a leader in the state of Louisiana to Lafayette Parish," said Touchet.
Prior to working for the state department of education, the Kaplan native has been a teacher, an assistant principal and a principal in Vermilion Parish. He has more than 20 years in education.
