About the only thing damaged on the sugar cane trailer was the license plate. It was bent.

On first day of sugar cane hauling, car hits trailer

On the first day of hauling sugarcane to the mills in Iberia Parish, there was a traffic accident in Vermilion Parish that involved a sugar cane truck.
At around noon on Thursday, a white Continental car ran into the back of a loaded down sugar cane trailer being pulled by a truck on La 167
The car was driven by Christopher Touchet, 22, of Meaux.
The car and truck were heading south on La. 167, south of Maurice. A witness saw the car speeding in and out of traffic, while the truck was in the right lane going the speed limit.
The driver did not realize the speed of the truck and plowed into the back of the trailer.
The driver of the truck stopped immediately. The driver of the car suffered injuries and was flown to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance.
The front of the white car was destroyed.
The sugar cane trailer only had a bent license plate.
Traffic, heading south on U.S 167, was stopped for about 20 minutes.
