Erath man one of five people killed in Alabama auto accident

CLANTON, Alabama — An Erath man is one of five people who was killed in a crash on an Alabama highway Saturday afternoon.
Investigators say a pickup truck travelling on Highway 22 attempted to pass another vehicle when it slammed into an SUV in the opposite lane. All four occupants of the truck and the single occupant of the SUV that was struck died at the scene. The accident happened around 1:30 p.m.
Killed were Erath native 36-year-old Quentin Anthony Buford, who was the driver the truck, along with his three passengers from Alabama: 50-year-old Robert Paul Gallet; 23-year-old Damian Lee Gallet; and 21-year-old Devan Jerica Gallet.
Also killed was the SUV driver, 37-year-old Christina Robinson Deramus of Wetumpka, Ala.
