Erath house catches fire; man pulled from home filled with smoke

Donald Romero had to be carried out of his house that was filled with smoke Friday night around 7 o'clock in Erath.
Firemen found Romero on the floor in his house on East Bourque Street. After about five minutes of working on Romero, a medical crew was able to get a pulse and him breathing again. He was brought to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance. As of 10:30 p.m. on Friday, it was not known his medical condition.
Romero was living in the home alone.
The fire department left the scene at 10 p.m. on Friday.
