Erath Fourth of July Celebration underway

The Erath Fourth of July Celebration got underway Monday and will continue throughout the week.
On Saturday in the Erath Park, the pageant was held. Lauron Boudreaux won the Miss Fourth of July Contest.
For the next four nights, Erath will be busy with the festival.
“We are a friendly, family festival,” said Fourth of July Association President Robert Vincent.
There will be six bands performing over the next four nights.
Tonight, the carnival rides continue, starting at 6 p.m. and continuing through 10:30 p.m. It is also bracelet night. Each bracelet is $20.
Starting at 8 tonight, a Fais Do Do will take place, featuring the band Gryphus, featuring Erath’s own Logan Soileau.
On Wednesday, The Beau Young Band will perform at the fais do-do, starting at 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The carnival rides will go from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and it is also bracelet night.
On Thursday, Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners will start things off from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wayne Toups follows him from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The big day of the festival is July 4th - the Friday.
It starts early with the 14th Annual 5-K run and 1-Mile Walk. It will begins at 7:30 a.m.
The water fights get underway at 10 a.m. in downtown Erath.
The parade starts at 5 p.m. through Erath.
The celebration continues through the night.
Louisiana Red, the band, will play from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Geno Delafose and French Rockin Boogie will perform from 9:30 p.m.to midnight.
At 9 p.m. on Friday will be the Giant Fireworks display.
