Eight arrested by Vermilion Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit

According to Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit made the following arrests for narcotics related offenses within the parish.
On Tuesday, April 7, agents received information that two subjects were looking to sell illicit drugs within the parish. After making contact, agents negotiated the sale of crack cocaine. After setting up surveillance, agents encountered the two suspects, Tillman Simon (dob 1/31/57) of Kaplan, and Zachery Campbell (dob 9/1/81) also of Kaplan. Agents approached the suspects, and took them into custody. Both suspects were charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
On the same date, while working narcotics criminal patrol in Abbeville, agents conducted an investigation which led to the seizure of several grams of high-grade methamphetamine, prescription pills on one person, and high grade marijuana.
-Timothy Gaspard (dob 10-1-90) of Abbeville was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute a schedule IV narcotic (Klonopin), possession of Lortab, and transactions involving drug proceeds.
- Sherry Guidry (dob 5-21-82) of Abbeville, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Xanax.
-Tyler Williams (dob 9-14-89) arrested for possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute MDMA (ecstasy), and possession of a schedule II narcotic (Percocet).
In other narcotics action the following persons were arrested recently but the Sheriff’s Narcotics Division:
- Brenda Daigle (dob 1-29-80) of Gueydan, arrested for possession of schedule II narcotic (Oxymorphone), and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
- Terrance Levine (dob 7-19-81) of Abbeville, arrested for possession of marijuana, and possession of schedule IV (Xanax).
- Rose Richard (dob 12-24-85) of Kaplan, arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule IV (Xanax) , possession of schedule IV (Diazepam), possession with the intent to distribute a schedule IV narcotic (Clonazepam), and three counts of possession of an controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
