Driver pronounced dead after motorcycle crash near Vermilion Parish, Lafayette Parish line

At approximately 7:11 a.m. on Wednesday, the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Patrol Division investigated a motorcycle fatality on Guillot Road in the Youngsville area near the Lafayette and Vermilion Parish line.
The victim has been identified as Joseph Tenorio, 48, of Earth.
Officers were able to determine that the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Guillot Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway. The driver struck a road sign before coming to rest in a field.
Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
Routine toxicology and blood tests will be submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
