Driver of motorcycle has died

The driver of a motorcycle involved in a crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. Hwy. 167 has died.
Master Trooper Brooks David made the announcement Thursday evening. The name of the driver has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The crash occurred Thursday afternoon after the bike he was driving was hit from behind by a car on Hwy. 167. The accident occurred around 3 p.m.
According to a witness, the driver of the motorcycle was heading north on Hwy. 167 when he slowed down and went to turn left towards Sammy’s Country Store. As he slowed, a female driver in a black Charger allegedly hit the cyclist from behind.
The impact pushed the motorcycle more than 100 yards along Hwy. 167.
Those first on the scene said the driver of the bike had a pulse when they first arrived.
He was transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital by Air Med.
Two people in the car were transported to a near by hospital with minor injuries.
