Covington man arrested in Vermilion Parish

Slidell Police say a Covington man has been arrested in Vermilion Parish, accused in the bar shootings in Slidell earlier this week.
WVUE TV is reporting police arrested Jamieon Chatman, 22, on two counts of second-degree murder and six counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Authorities say Chatman opened fired into a crowd early Thursday morning outside Shooter’s Social Club killing Errol Scott, 22, and Mark Womack, 23 and injuring six others.
Chatman was arrested at a home in Vermilion Parish where people were harboring him according to Smith.
Deputies say more arrests will be made in the case.
