The driver of the SUV hit the back of the fertilizer trailer being pulled by a Ford tractor. The driver of the tractor was not seriously injured.
The front end of the SUV Chevy was damaged.
The fertilizer tank broke off from the trailer and rolled onto the grass along Hwy. 167. It was not known if there was fertilizer in the tank.

A driver of a Chevy SUV ran into the back of a Ford tractor pulling a fertilizer tank traveling south on La. 167, in between Maurice and Abbeville.
The SUV hit the fertilizer trailer, flipping the fertilizer trailer and turning the tractor sideways, facing east. Liquid fertilizer may have escaped from a tank.
The driver of the tractor was able to climb down off his tractor and was taken to a local hospital by Acadian Ambulance.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The names of the drivers of the tractor and SUV were not released by the State Police Department.
