Answering ALS Challenge

Erath administration gets ice water poured on them

The past week, social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, You Tube and others were overtaken by ALS Ice Bucket challenges to raise money for the organization.
The challenge has raised nearly $80 million by Monday.
On Sunday, both Erath High Principal Marc Turner and Assistant Principal Patricia Thibodeaux were called out for the challenge.
“Our five seconds of cold is nothing compared to the continuous suffering of someone with ALS,” said Turner. “Our hope is that this trend not only raises funds to support research for a cure, but also raises awareness about the disease.”
Late Monday afternoon, the duo did indeed do the ice bucket challenge. They offered their Erath High School students two $1 (out of uniform) dress days on Tuesday, Aug. 26 and Wednesday, Aug. 27.
The students pay $1 and have a free dress day (out of uniform day) with all proceeds going to the ALS organization.
The EHS leader video can be found on the Erath School and Community facebook page.
Donations can be made on the http://www.alsa.org website.
