Abbeville Police respond to shooting

Abbeville Police are continuing an investigation after a suspect shot a man in the head while the victim drove on Graceland Avenue.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 20, officers with the Abbeville Police Department responded to a complaint at Abbeville General in reference to a gunshot victim.
According to the responding officers, the victim was traveling on Graceland Avenue when unknown subject(s) shot into a vehicle.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported to Abbeville General Hospital and then later transferred to another medical facility. The victim is currently in a severe but stable condition.
The Abbeville Police Department is asking anyone having knowledge of the incident to contact investigators at 337-893-2511.
