Abbeville Police investigating two armed robberies

On November 25, 2014, at approximately 8:55 p.m., officers with Abbeville Police Department responded to Valero Corner Store (W. Summers Dr.) in reference to an armed robbery.
Officers arrived on scene in less than two minutes and learned the suspect had fled the scene on foot. Investigators were called to the scene.
Investigators reviewed the security video and learned a male subject entered the store, walked around the counter armed with a gun, and demanded money from the cashier. The male subject was wearing gloves and had his face half covered. The suspect got away with approximately $40 in cash.
At approximately 9:43 p.m., officers were then dispatched to a second armed robbery at the Family Dollar Store on Veterans Memorial Dr.
Investigators arrived shortly after and learned the same male subject entered the Family Dollar Store, armed with a hand gun, and demanded money. The male subject then fled from the store on foot with approximately $850 in cash.
The suspect is believed to have had an accomplice. The suspect is described as a white male or possibly bi-racial in his twenties. The suspect is between 5’-5’04”.
