Abbeville police continue search for shooter

The Abbeville Police Department is continuing an investigation into a daylight shooting that occurred Tuesday.
Police Chief Tony Hardy said Wednesday morning that officers are questioning those allegedly involved in the incident, as well as witnesses. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place around 1 p.m. at the corner of Oak and Hayes Streets.
Police say the gunman fired several shots into a vehicle, hitting the victim once in the leg. Officers did recover casings. The alleged shooter appeared to hit the vehicle several times on the passenger’s side.
