Abbeville police arrest Delcambre man

A medical emergency call Wednesday morning in Abbeville resulted in the arrest of a Delcambre man.
Abbeville Police arrested Taylor Francis, 22, of Delcambre after he entered a residence on Graceland Avenue.
He faces charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Schedule II Methamphetamine and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
“Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Graceland in reference to a male lying in the middle of the street,” Abbeville Police Department Det. Leland Laseter said.
When officers arrived, they found no one on the roadway. A witness told the officers that the man got up and walked into a nearby residence.
“Officers went to the residence,” Laseter said. “They were met by the occupant of the residence, who said a stranger walked into her house.”
The occupant led officers to the man, who they identified as Francis.
“Upon arresting him,” Laseter said, “they located marijuana and crystal meth on him.”
