2014 Duck Festival Queen

GUEYDAN - Dark hair beauty, Macy Michelle LeBlanc was crowned the 2014 Duck Festival Queen Saturday afternoon at the Duck Festival Building among family, friends and spectators.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette student is the 21 year old daughter of Dana and Arthur LeBlanc of Lake Arthur.
Macy was chosen out of five beautiful contestants vying for Duck Festival Queen.
Macy wore a stunning red colored lace and chiffon combination evening gown.
Macy was also recognized by her fellow contestants and was awarded the Miss Congeniality award.
The five contestants, including the new queen competed for the title before a panel of three judges. The first part of the competition being interviews were held at the Gueydan Civic Center. They wore suits for the interview and later changed into formal wear for the public presentation.
Chosen as first alternate in the Queen’s Pageant was contestant number five, Taylor Trahan of Kaplan. Second alternate chosen in the pageant was contestant number three Ashlyn Martin of Gueydan.
Also competing in the pageant were Nicole Claire Taylor of Crowley and Alexis Voeller of Gueydan.
