Vice, Pritzen wed in Houston

HOUSTON - Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston, Texas, was the setting for the 7 p.m. January 11 nuptial Mass uniting Labrie Roper Pritzen of Houston and Ian Anthony Vice of Erath in holy matrimony. The Reverends Naos McCool, Bill Melancon, and Wayne Duet officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Terrell Pritzen Jr. of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Virginia Sherwin Roper and the late Raymond Edward Roper of Georgetown, South Carolina, and the late Mrs. Ruby Hurst Terry and the late Douglas Terrell Pritzen Sr. both of Dallas, Texas. She is a graduate of Klein High School and McNeese State University at Lake Charles with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology.

The groom is the son of Kirk and Liz Vice of Erath. He is the grandson of the late Bob and Jean Segura and the late Pressley and Rida Vice, all of Erath. He is a graduate of Erath High School and McNeese State University at Lake Charles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. He is employed by C. B. and I. as a Project and Construction Field Engineer.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore the “Amelia” design by Elizabeth Fillmore, a laser-cut flower corded satin strapless sweetheart gown accented with a satin waistband. She carried a loosely hand tied bouquet of white peonies, ranunculus, stock, tulips and blushing bride proteas with touches of dusty miller and greenery wrapped in ivory satin.

The maid of honor was her sister, Paula Pritzen. The bridesmaids were Lovey Vice Wakefield, sister of the groom; Kathryn McKean, Lisa Jett, Emily Smith and Liz Sanderson. They wore fully beaded and embroidered sapphire Sue Wong floor length column gowns. They carried loosely hand tied bouquets of white freesia, ranunculus, peonies, and tulips with touches of seeded eucalyptus, rosemary, and dusty miller wrapped with ivory satin ribbon.

The best man was Nick Lopez. The groomsmen were Brett Wakefield, Josh Sanderson, Kyle Sanderson, Randy Brown, Robert Bennett, and Chris Hoffpauir.

The ushers were Brandon Lucchese, Philip Emanuel, Dustin Dugas and Shane Hebert.

The ring bearers were Cooper and Luke Wakefield, godchildren of the bride and groom.
The gift bearers were Susan Roper and Raymond Roper, aunt and uncle of the bride; and Ashlie Cox and Calvin Vice, godparents of the groom.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner and dancing at a reception held at Houston Country Club with music provided by Eclipse Orchestra.

The wedding festivities included a cheerful bridesmaid luncheon on Friday at Rainbow Lodge in Houston, hosted by Susan Brown and Shawn Howell. On Friday evening, the groom’s parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner at Brennan’s of Houston. Following the wedding, on Sunday morning, Teresa and Michael Horn hosted a delicious brunch in the Palm Court of the Omni Hotel.

After returning from their honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Lake Charles.
