Savoy, Green to be wed in June

Mr. and Mrs. Loveless John Green Sr., of Abbeville, Louisiana, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, LaTyrie JaLandry Green, to Demetrius Darnell Savoy, son of Ms. Christiana Austin of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Mr. Joseph Savoy Lafayette, Louisiana. They will be joined in the sacrament of holy matrimony on June 28, 2014, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with father Kenneth Mayne officiating.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mazie Landry and the late Eddie Landry, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greene of Erath, Louisiana. The grom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Austin, Sr.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 2013 graduate of Southern University and A&M College where she received a bachelor of science in nursing. She's currently employed as a registered nurse at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

The groom-elect is a 2005 Washington Marion High School and a 2011 Southern University and A&M College graduate. He received a bachelor in science music. He is currently employed by Coushatta Casino and Resort.
