Romero, Broussard united in marriage

Keverly Breann Romero of Maurice, Louisiana, and Treg James Broussard of Maurice joined hands in marriage on February 22, 2014, at The Madison in Broussard, Louisiana.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lattier Jr. of Maurice and Mr. Chad E. Romero of Youngsville, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billie H. Bice of Lafayette, Louisiana, Mrs. Janice Wilkins of Bay Minette, Alabama, and the late Johnny E. Romero of New Iberia, Louisiana.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gussie Broussard of Maurice. He is the grandson of Mrs. Beverly Lachaussee and the late Mr. Lares Lachaussee of Abbeville, Louisiana and Mrs. Gertie Broussard and the late Mr. Wilbert Broussard of Delcambre, Louisiana.

The bride was escorted by her father, Chad E. Romero and her step-father, Earl Lattier Jr.

She wore an ivory Mikado trumpet gown with champagne beaded lace, featuring a sweetheart neckline and sweep train. She also wore an ivory satin sash accented with a crystal brooch belonging to her great-great-aunt. Her bouquet was of cream English roses, peonies, ivory hydrangeas, and champagne peacock feathers tied with an ivory satin ribbon.

The maid of honor was Sarah Lawton, and Jacie Sonnier Cassidy served and matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lacy Leblanc Medlin, Terrin Leblanc Guilbeau, Meghan Romero, Fran Faulk, and Brittyn Lacombe, all cousins of the bride.

The best man for the ceremony was Gussie Broussard, the groom’s father. Travis Bodin, Koby Trahan, Logan Gautreaux, Blake Landry, Trevor Courville, and Jacob Guidry all served as groomsmen.

Ady Broussard, the couples’ daughter, served as flower girl. Nash Perero, the groom’s nephew, served as ring bearer.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Homer Stelly. Ushers were Deacon and Ranger Romero, brothers of the bride.

The reception was also held at The Madison in Broussard. Afterward, the couple took a wedding trip to Clark, Colorado. Upon their return, they will live in Maurice.
