Nguyen, Delino united in marriage

Vi Jane Nguyen and Jimmy Lee Delino celebrated the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony Saturday, January 4 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville in an 11 a.m. ceremony. The marriage was officiated by Father Peter Le.

The bride is the daughter of Nghi and Tuyet Le Nguyen of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Le Thi Nguyen of Abbeville. The groom is the son of Reverend Steve and Sheila Delino of Abbeville and is the grandson of Jimmy and Mary Graham of Abbeville and Mag Delino of Abbeville.

The bride was escorted by her father, Nghi Nguyen. She wore a gown by Vera Wang. The dress was an ivory one-shoulder structured fit and flare gown with a dropped waist and skirt made of hand-cut organza flanges. The gown features a beautifully sculpted bodice and covered buttons, reminiscent of Hollywood glamor. Her veil was a hand-made cream burlap birdcage fascinator with satin roses and her bouquet consisted of pink cabbage roses with a touch of baby's breath. The bouquet's handle was wrapped in burlap and lace with a golden pearl pendant at the center of the handle.

The maid of honor for the ceremony was Theresa Dinh, the bride's niece. The bridesmaids included two of the bride's sisters-in-law, Angel Lormand and Mindy Delino, and two of her nieces, Mary Dinh and Lily Cao. Their dresses were also by Vera Wang; blush colored, elegant one-shoulder organza dress with hand-cut bias-flange skirt. Attendants' bouquets consisted of ivory and pink garden roses and carnations with a touch of baby's breath.

The best man was the groom's brother, Steven Delino. His groomsmen included Kristin Lormand, his brother in law; Dustin Delino, his cousin; Chase Lapeyrouse, his cousin; and Jarred Broussard, his best friend from high school.

The flower girl was Paige Cao, the daughter of Chris and Teri Cao. She held an ivory and pink carnation flower ball and wore an ivory lace dress adorned with a flower belt. The ring bearer was the groom's godchild, Evan Delino, the son of Steven and Mindy Delino. The bride's nephew, Joseph Dinh, served as usher.

The music for the ceremony was played by the bride's brother-in-law, Chris Cao, along with the Vietnamese Choir. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the VN Hall in Abbeville. It was decorated with a rustic/vintage feel. Mason jars adorned with burlap and lace with hydrangeas and baby's breath were the centerpieces and the bride's cake was made by Chef Bobby and Dot. The groom's cake was a three-tired chocolate LSU-themed cake.

The newlyweds took their wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and will reside in Abbeville after their return.
