Morvant, Dugas announce upcoming wedding

The engagement of Kelsey Marie Morvant of Erath, Louisiana, and Cody James Dugas of Erath, has been announced, with their wedding set for July 5, at 1 p.m. The wedding will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Henry, Louisiana.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph P. Morvant of Morgan City, Louisiana, and Tiffany Romero Lerette of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Joseph P. Morvant, Sr. of Erath, Wilda and Thomas Ponder of Kileen, Alabama, and Diane L. Morvant of Erath.

She is a 2009 graduate of Erath High School. She then attended South Louisiana Community College, graduating this year, and earned her degree as a Certified Medical Assistant. She currently works at Southcare Medical Pediatric Clinic in Abbeville, Louisiana.

The prospective groom is the son of Clint and Tessie Dugas of Henry, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Nelies and the late Don Dugas of Henry, and the late Julius and Vergie Delcambre of Delcambre, Louisiana.

He is also a 2009 graduate of Erath High School. He attended Louisiana Technical College, graduating in 2012. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Machine Technology. He currently works at the Bergeron Machine Shop in Abbeville. He is also a volunteer fire fighter in Henry.
