Menard, Broussard unite in Holy Matrimony

Megan Marie Menard of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Seth Christopher Broussard of Erath, Louisiana, have joined hands in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. They celebrated their wedding at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church on Saturday, January 25, with Father William Blanda officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl A. Menard of Lafayette. Her grandparents are the late Whiley Joseph Menard and Hazel Menard, and the late Leo A. Duhon Sr. and Myrtle Halphen Duhon. The groom is the son of Teddy Broussard of Youngsville, Louisiana, and Nellie Broussard of Erath.

The bride wore a modified A-line silhouette Oleg Cassini ivory tulle gown. It featured draped straps and beaded lace for a vintage-inspired look with a sweep train. Her bouquet was of ivory flowers, including roses and peonies wth her fraternal grandmother's rosary.

The matron of honor for the ceremony was Lori Latiolais, a friend of the bride. Amy B. LeBlanc, sister of the groom, Tiffany Menage, cousin of the bride, and Amanda Hendersona nd Tiffany Broussard, friends of the bride, served as bridesmaids.

The best man for the ceremony was Jason Broussard, the groom's brother. Kyle Menard, another brother of the groom, and Jed Reaux, Derek Latiolais and Adam Broussard, all friends of the groom, served as groomsmen.

Lillyanna Broussard, a friend of the bride, served as flower girl. The ring bearer was Lawson Broussard, godchild of the groom. Donovan Guidry, Corey Menard and Lance LeBlanc served as ushers while Seth Menard served as a greeter.

Musicians included Tommy Guidry, the organist, and Scotty Walker, the trumpeter. The vocalist was John Luquette.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at Magdalen Place. The couple is taking a wedding trip on a Caribbean Cruise. After their return, they will reside in Erath.
