Gisclair, Quibodeaux wed in Abbeville

Kylie S. Gisclair of Erath, Louisiana, and Waylon A. Quibodeaux of Erath were wed at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 18, 2014, with Deacon William Vincent officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gisclair. She is the granddaughter of Joyce Primeaux and the late Fred Primeaux of Abbeville and the late Francis Gisclair of Abbeville.

The groom is the son of Ms. Charmaine Quibodeaux and the late Paul Quibodeaux. He is the grandson of Ms. Hazel Mouton and the late Joseph Mouton of Youngsville, Louisiana, and Ms. Lucy Rost and the late Leslie Quibodeaux of Abbeville.

The bride was escorted by her father, Robert Gisclair. She wore an ivory mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline and an embellished sash at waistline. Her bouquet was of silk ivory roses, with satin and lace wrapping and a brooch.

The matron of honor was Julia Gisclair, the bride's sister-in-law. Amanda Quibodeaux, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaid and Lexie Gisclair, the bride's niece, served as junior bridesmaid. They each wore a navy dress. Leah Gisclair, the bride's godchild, served as flower girl and wore an ivory dress.

The best man for the ceremony was Dallas Boothe, a relative of the groom. Cameron Gisclair, the bride's godchild, served as ring bearer.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry. Zachery Quibodeaux, the groom's brother, Cale Gisclair, the bride's brother, and Brady Gisclair, the bride's brother, all served as ushers. The mother of the bride was escorted by Cale and Brady Gisclair. She wore a champagne-colored 3/4 jacket and dress with a brooch at the waistline. The mother of the groom was escorted by Zachery Quibodeaux, her son, and wore a brown colored 3/4 jacket and dress with beading at the waistline.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at Black's. The couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. After the trip, the couple will reside in Erath.
