Dunn, D’Aquila wed in New Iberia

Jessica Dunn of Erath, Louisiana, Nicholas D’Aquila of Abbeville, Louisiana, were joined together in marriage on Friday, March 21, at 6:00 p.m. at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia, Louisiana. Pastor Pres Riley officiated the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Veronica Dunn of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Carolyn Parker of Erath, Elmer and Katy Dunn of Angie, Louisiana, and Ruth Bendily and the late Carl Lenard of Venice, Louisiana.

The groom is the son of Joseph and Yvonne D’Aquila. He is the grandson of the late Joseph and Cecile Champagne and the late Ignatius and Janet D’Aquila.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a Melissa Sweet strapless organza gown with antique chantilly lace and champagne tulle. It features a chapel-length train with buttons down the back accented with a blush peach flower sash.

The maid of honor in the ceremony was Cherie Taylor, the bride’s best friend. Julee Myers, a longtime friend, and Lacie Holiday, the bride’s new sister-in-law, serves at bridesmaids.

The best man was John Paul Barras, the groom’s best friend. Shawn Dunn, the groom’s new brother-in-law and Scott Segura, trainer and friend of the groom, served as groomsmen.

Emma Roze Harrington, daughter of the bride, was the ceremony’s flower girl. Camden Blanchard and Slade Ladnier, nephews of the groom, served as ring bearers.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Todd Bascle. The ushers were Gage Prejean and Ethan Mier, friends of the family, and Tracy Lombas, a cousin.
The mother of the bride was escorted by Tracy Lombas, and the mother of the groom was escorted by Gage Prejean.

After the ceremony, a reception was also held at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in the Bayless Center. The couple took a wedding trip to New Orleans, Louisiana. After they return, they will reside in Erath.
