Alvarez, Hargrave wed in Youngsville

Joelle Alvarez of Abbeville, Louisiana, and Jacob Hargrave of Abbeville were joined together in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Friday, June 13, 2014, at SSt. Anne Catholic Church of Youngsville, Louisiana. Father Jason Mouton officiated the wedding.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Jolene Alvarez of Youngsville. She is the granddaughter of Gerald and JEssie Fremin of Youngsville and the late José and Neva Alvarez of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The groom is the son of Joseph and Michele Hargrave and Dwayne and Shiela Hebert. He is the grandson of Jane Bouton and the late Jimmy Bouton of Abbeville, and the late Norris and Joyce Hargrave of Abbeville.

The bride was escorted by her father, Joseph Alvarez. She wore a strapless, beaded gown, with an embroidered train with crystals. Her veil was lined with crystals and floral embroidery. Her bouquet was of peach, off-white, and light-pink flowers. They were wrapped in burlap with pearls down the front. The final aesthetic was her grandparents’ pictures in a locket on the bouquet.

The maid of honor for the ceremony was Juliet Alvarez. Both Jessica Clemmons and Megan Wittenberg served as bridesmaids. Andi Alvarez served as flower girl.

The bride’s attendents wore a coral chiffon long dress, with a long ruffle down the back. They held bouquets of cream, peach, and pink flowers, wrapped in burlap with one pearl brooch.
The best man for the ceremony was Marcus Hargrave. Serving as groomsmen were Brock Viguerie and Marcus Breaux. Josh Alvarez and Trent Guidry served as ushers.

Stephanie Hoffpauir provided music for the ceremony. Ashley Kasperski, cousin to the groom, and Danielle Alvarez, sister-in-law to the bride, offered the readings.

The mother of the bride was escorted by Josh Alvare and the father of the bride. She wore a long, champagne dress and beaded jacket. The mother of the groom was escorted by the groom and her husband. She wore a navy chiffon long, beaded dress.

Following the ceremony, there was a reception held at Youngsville Center. The couple will take a wedding trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama, before returning home to Abbeville.
