Domingues named EHS Student of the Year

Catherine Domingues was recently named the 2013-14 Erath High Student of the Year. The EHS teenager has maintained a perfect 4.0 throughout her twelve years of school. She is currently the Student Council President, and has served on the student council executive board four years.

Domingues has been active in many capacities at school. She has been a class officer, cheerleader, member of the track team, as well math and beta clubs through her four years of high school.

Her recent honors include: Erath High School Bobcat of the Month in August 2013, Abbeville Kiwanis Club Student of the Month in November 2013 and an UCA All-American Cheerleader.

She was the past 5th and 8th grade School and Parish Student of the Year.

Domingues has been a member Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Lifeteen Member for 3 years, and she attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Houston, Texas in of July 2013.

Domingues stated “I plan to attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a major in Biology. I then plan to further my education to become a Physician’s Assistant.” She added “I believe that success in and out of the classroom starts with a solid foundation of family support, which I have truly been blessed with and continue to be thankful for. Through my years in high school, I have learned that all one needs to be successful is a concrete goal and boundless determination.”

Catherine Domingues is the daughter of Jim and Charlotte Domingues of Erath.
