Local scouts receive Arrow of Light award

Four scouts from Cub Scout Pack 326 of Abbeville have achieved Cub Scouting’s Arrow of Light Award. It is the highest honor awarded to Cub Scout and the only Cub patch that is worn on Boy Scout uniform. Requirements include knowing the significance of Scout Oath, motto, slogan, salute, and handshake; earning at least eight activity badges; and participating in an overnight campout. Webelos Scouts Jude Roger, Joshua Listi, Ian Waskom, and Ryan Kirkpatrick (pictured) were presented the award by Emile Hebert of the Order of the Arrow, Atchafalaya Lodge. The ceremony was held during a recent pack meeting at the Louisiana Military Hall of Fame and Museum in Abbeville.
