Garden Club learns about alligator hide

The Abbeville Garden Club had a field trip for their March meeting. The staff of the Mark Staton Co. in Maurice, Louisiana, explained how alligator hides are treated from start to finish.

Next, the members were given a tour of the Girouard Nursery in Broussard.

Following a luncheon at Nash’s Restaurant, members enjoyed dessert at the home of Christine and Dan Davenport.
