Junior Auxillary of Abbeville Awards Crown Scholarships

ABBEVILLE - The Junior Auxiliary of Abbeville (JA of Abbeville) awarded (2) $1,000 scholarships to 2014 graduates of Vermilion Parish High Schools.

Crown Scholar recipients are Abbeville High School Senior Angelle Domingue and Gueydan High School Senior Keigan Hanks.

Our Crown Scholar Project is our longest running Project. Two $1,000 Scholarships are awarded to candidates based upon their submitted applications by our voting committee. Candidate must be pursuing a degree in a field related to children.

Since our Chapter's creation, we have awarded approximately $10,000.00 in scholarships to assist in the educational goals of seniors throughout Vermilion Parish.

A committee comprised of Chapter Members reviewed the 17 submitted applications and the two winners were presented their scholarships during their award ceremonies.
