Lady Patriots fall to Notre Dame

The North Vermilion Lady Patriots got its district schedule underway, and things didn’t start quite the way they would have hoped.

The Lady Patriots fell to Notre Dame by the final score of 43-27.

Despite what the score may indicate, this game was close.

The Lady Patriots scored nine points in the first quarter.

Morgan Harrington and Lunden Graham scored all nine points.

The defense allowed 11 points to Notre Dame.

Down two points heading into the second quarter, the Lady Patriots defense decided to go into lock down mode, and only allowed Notre Dame to score five points in the second quarter.

Unfortunately for the Lady Patriots the Notre Dame defense went into lock down mode as well, and NV only scored five points as well.

The third quarter is where the Lady Patriots lost the game.

Notre Dame scored 18 points, while the Lady Pats could only manage five.

Leading the way for the Lady Patriots in scoring was Morgan Harrington.

Harrington scored a team high 10 points.

Lunden Graham and Simone Pillette were not far behind as they each scored five and four points respectively.

Cassidy Hoffpauir, Hannah Dardar, Lanie Breaux and Jody Vincent rounded out the scoring for the Lady Patriots as they all scored two points apiece.

The Lady Patriots record now sits at 5-14 overall and 0-1 in district play.

The Lady Patriots will be back in action as they will host the Erath Lady Bobcats this Friday night.
