Falgout, Sonnier exchange vows

Jenny Elizabeth Falgout of Abbeville, Louisiana, and Tim Lee Sonnier II of Kaplan, Louisiana, were wed on Friday, January 24, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Father Clint Trahan officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Mary Beth Falgout of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth and the late Mr. Emile Dugas of Abbeville, along with the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Falgout of Delcambre, Louisiana.

The groom is the son of Linda Lou Thompson of Lafayette, Louisiana, and the late Tim L. Sonnier. He is the grandson of the later Mr. and Mrs. Lawrance Thompson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sonnier.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Joe Falgout. She wore a one-shoulder Taffeta A-line gown with side draping and a ruffle at the shoulder with a sweep train. Her bouquet consisted of white calla lilies with mixed ferns adorned with an heirloom garnet brooch from her grandmother.

The maid of honor was the bride's friend, Jennifer Hebert. The bridesmaids were Emma Falgout, godchild of the bride; Aby Falgout, sister-in-law of the bride; Katie Hebert, a friend of the bride; and Hope David and Mandie Romero, both sisters of the groom.

The best men for the ceremony were Marcus Romero, brother-in-law of the groom, and Reggie Harrington, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jared Duhon, Terrance Simon, Lucas Vincent, Caleb Blansett, and Trent Hebert, all friends of the groom.

The flower girls in the ceremony were Lola Falgout and Amelie Augello, both nieces of the bride. The ring bearer was Tucker David, nephew of the groom. Program attendents were Cooper David, godchild of the groom; Jack Falgout, nephew of the bride; and Luke Harrington, godchild of the groom.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Tommy Guidry, Murphy Guilbeaux and Earl Seaux. Readings were given by Ellen Falgout, the bride's aunt; Tracey Schexnailder, cousin of the groom; and Trey Duhon, the bride's godfather. The ushers were Beau Falgout, the bride's brother; Brooks David, brother-in-law to the groom; and Blake Frith, a friend.

The mother of the bride was escorted by Joe and Beau Falgout. She wore an iridescent gray pompeii dress with a ruffled asymmetrical hem line. The mother of the groom was escorted by the groom. She wore a plum, multi-tier long caplet chiffon dress.

After the ceremony, a recpetion was held at the Abbeville Country Club. The couple will take a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, and upon return will reside in Maurice, Louisiana.
