Abbeville-Funeral services will be held for Mr. Edward “Zip, Riley, Bulldog” Landry, 92 at 2:00pm Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Macedonia Baptist Church-607 S. Bailey Street-Abbeville, LA with Rev. E. James Guidry pastor officiating. He will await the resurrection in Macedonia Church Cemetery in Grosse Isle, LA. Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday at the church from 8:00am until time of service. A resident of Abbeville, Mr. Landry passed away at 2:53am on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital. He leaves to cherish his fond memory, four sons, Christopher E. Landry, Sr. (and very special daugher-in law and caregiver, Linda),Ivory Peters(Teresa), Larry Boudreaux(Denise) and Percy Landry all of Abbeville, LA; one daughter, Cynthia Comeaux(John) of Port Arthur, TX; two brothers, Clarence “Henry” Landry and George “Bee-Lee” Landry(Virginia) both of Abbeville, LA; a very special nephew, Robert “Kane” Landry; two very special friends, Lawrence Levy, Sr. and Ernest “Jr. Boy” Matthews, Sr. 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 unborn great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Joiner Landry; his parents, George Landry, Sr. and Orelia Landry; his brothers, Preston “Taboy” Landry and Welch “Bubba” Landry and his sister, Mable Kelly. A special thanks to Cheryl “Ne-Ne” Levere, Janie “Tuddy” Beale, Cashway Pharmacy, Concept of Care and Dr. Kerry M. Schexneider and Staff. C. M. Butler Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of the arrangements.
