Edward C. Zenon, Jr.

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Edward C. Zenon, Jr., 61, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Abbeville, LA at 2:00PM Thursday, August 29, 2013 with Rev. Chester Arceneaux as Celebrant.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 9:00AM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00AM and will continue until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow the church service at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. Mr. Zenon passed away at 8:20PM on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at his Mother’s residence.

Mr. Zenon was a native of Abbeville, LA and was a longtime sugarcane farmer on his famiy’s farm in Grosse Isle, LA and in his later years was a truck driver. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Segura Zenon; mother, Leora Olivier Zenon; children, Jason P. Zenon, Cody R. Zenon, Sr., Edward C. Zenon, III and Brittany N. Zenon all of Grosse Isle, LA; two brothers, Nathan P. Zenon,Sr. and Gene M. Zenon, Sr.; two sisters, Jenita Z. Landry (Robert Kane) and Althea Z. Guidry (Lonnie) and seven grandchildren, Alexis, Tocarra, Jalen, Michaela, D’Zahn, Aubree , and Cody Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Clifford Zenon, Sr.; two nephews, Robert Kane Landry, Jr. and Killeun O. Zenon

Pallbearers will be Spencer Nunez, Jr, Keenen Guidry, Donovan Landry, Gene Zenon, Jr., Kavian Zenon, Herbert Boutte, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Vivian T. Segura, Alfred T. Segura, Jason P. Zenon, Cody R. Zenon, Edward C. Zenon, III, Stephen R. Castille, Paul Bernard, Joseph Billy Zenon, Gene M. Zenon, Sr., Nathan P. Zenon, Sr., Nathan P. Zenon, Jr., David Zenon, Sr. Loveless P. Zenon, Wofford Olivier, Gerald M. Zenon, Golden Zenon, III, Lonnie L. Guidry and Robert Kane Landry, Sr.
