Amy Elizabeth LeMaire and Nicholas Paul Trahan of Scott exchanged wedding vows on November 29, 2008 during an early evening ceremony in the gardens of Sunny Meade Bed and Breakfast in Scott. Justice of the Peace Michael Angelle officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Nathan and Mary “Lou” LeMaire of Gueydan. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr, and Mrs Neal Edward Thomason, Sr. of Hammond and the late Mr. and Mrs. Otis LeMaire of Gueydan.

A graduate of Gueydan high School, the bride received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is employed by the St. Martin Parish School Board.

The groom is the son of Glenn and Sharon Monte’ Trahan of Scott. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Monte’ of Lafayette and Mrs. Lillian L.Trahan and the late Roy Joseph Trahan of Lafayette. A graduate of Acadiana High School, the groom is employed by

B.J. Services of Broussard.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line gown of white satin. The bodice featured beaded metallic embroidery with a delicate cap sleeve draping her shoulders. At her waist the gown swept to the side where beading and embroidery continued down the dress. Her fairy-tale gown displayed an attractive chapel length train that cascaded in back interest as she walked down the aisle.

She carried a bouquet of fire red and yellow Calla lilies with red, orange, and yellow tulips accented with bear grass and green hydrangea.

The bridesmaids wore black taffeta, full length, strapless, flared gowns with layered skirts. The bodices were gathered with sweetheart necklines. Each had an accent bow and band at the empire waists. They each carried a bouquet of red tulips.

Kathryn L. LeMaire, sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Tarra Wiggins of Lake Arthur, and Emma Thomason, cousin of the bride, of Monroe.

Best Man was Casey Touchette, cousin of the groom, of Plaquemine. Groomsmen were Johnathon Champagne of Scott, and Chris Breaux, of Lafayette, both friends of the groom.

Serving as flower girl was Olivia Kathryn Trahan, daughter of the bride and groom. Their daughter wore a whimsical gown of white organza. Her dress featured a satin halter neckline with a corseted bodice. An added touch to her gown was a miniature organza train lending the look of a tiny princess.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Sunny Meade.

After their return from a Caribbean cruise, the new Mr. and Mrs. Trahan will reside in Maurice.
