Sarah Andrus becomes Mrs. David Racca
Miss Sarah E. Andrus and Mr. David J. Racca were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton, La.
Rev. Msgr. Russell J. Harrington officiated the 1 p.m. nuptials.
The bride is the daughter of Michelle Andrus and the late Hugh Andrus of Carencro, La. Her grandparents are the late Wilbert and Marguerite Breaux of Crowley, La. and the late Judge Alex Andrus II and Mercedes Andrus of Opelousas, La.
The groom is the son of Sandra Racca of Kaplan and Larry and Linda Racca of Erath. His grandparents are the late Wesley and Vivian Pagle of Mississippi, Hilda Racca and the late Levan Racca of Kaplan.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by Kenneth Breaux, her uncle and godfather, from Houston, Texas.
Maid of honor was Claire Breaux. Matron of honor was Camille Breaux. Bridesmaids included Brittany Racca and Andrea Racca. The flower girls were Callie Racca and Karsen Racca, nieces of the groom.
Best man was Garrett Racca. Groomsmen included Corey Buras, Brandon Racca, Gary Longley and Alex Masoomian. Ring bearer was Noah Simon. Ushers were Kade Duhon and Blake Simon.
Immediately following the wedding, a reception was held at Abacus in Lafayette.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Northern Georgia, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
Sarah is a 2003 graduate of Tuerlings Catholic High School and a 2007 graduate of UL at Lafayette with a BA in Communicative Disorders, MS in Speech and Language Pathology.
David is a 1993 graduate of Ellender High School in Houmas and attended UL at Lafayette.
